Informations of Witnesses taken this
14th. day of Septr. 1795 in the Parish of St. James
Westminster at the Dwelling house of Joseph Shaw< no role >
the Sign of the 3 blue Posts in Berwick Street
before Anthony Gell< no role > his Majesty's Coroner
for the said City & Liberty touching the death
of Anne Wade< no role > then and there lying dead
as follow to Wit

Mary Edwards< no role > of Duke Lane Berwick Street being
sworn deposeth That Yesterday (Sunday 13th. September)
about 2 part 3 in the afternoon he came to this Deponent
house and as she was coming up Stairs, she told this
Deponent that she was very ill and was just come for
Drury Lane where she had dined atNo 11 Feetwith her
Nephew, whereupon this Deponent prevailed upon her
to sit down upon the Bed and told her she would go &
get a smelling bottle and she went immediately to for
one to Mr. Shaw Victualler it the 3 blue Posts in
Berwick Street which was ever at hard and when she
returned immediately with it the said Anne Wade< no role >
appeared to be dead, whereupon the sent directly to me
Mrs. Parsons in Carnaby Market a Relation of the
deced who came immediately and sent for an
Apothecary who came and said that [..] must
here been Stagnated by the time she got to this Deponent
house and there she was quite dead & therefore it was
in vain to try very means for the Recovery.
