Informations of Witnesses taken this 9th. day
of July 1795 in the Parish of St. Martin in
the Fields , at the Dwelling House of Thomas
Murray
< no role > the Sign of the Sun in Little Suffolk
Street before Anthony Gell< no role > his Majesty's
Coroner for the sd. City & Liberty touching
the Death of John Parsons< no role > then & there
lying dead as follow, to wit.

Alexander Unquhart< no role > of Coventry Court Haymarket
being sworn deposeth that he was ordered down to
Edinburgh to attend the Trial of Major [..] Kinloch
Gordon of Gilmarton, for [..] shooting his Brother
and when this Deponent arrived at Edinburgh he
found the deceased there who had been subponed
on the same business, that when the Trial was [..]
this Deponent and the deceased took places in the
Coach from Edinburgh to Dunbar Berwick
where they arrived on Saturday last, that when they
Camb to Dunbar in their Way to Berwick the
deceased, did not sit down to dine with his & the
next of the Passengers, but appeared disturbed
in his Mind. that they had some Wiskey Punch
there but he would not drink any of it, saying
it was not to his liking, whereupon some more Wiskey
was
