the said Apartment again in the dark
[..] from the Reflection of the Light
of the Lamps in the Stairs Cast he
observed the Curtains in the same
State as he had left them, and it
this occure'd to this Deponent that
the deceased was still in Bed,
when upon he drew the Curtains
on one Side and called him by
Name several times and not
receiving any Answer he shook
him by the Shoulders, after [..]
which he part his hand upon his
Face and feeling it Cold, it Struck
this Deponent that he was no
more, and therefore went into the
Passage and took down one of
the Lamps that was contiguous
to the Apartment, andatjust
at that time he observed one
of the Waiters on the Landing
Place, who together with this
Deponent went into the Apartmt.
with the Light and found the
Deceased with Situation before
described quite and Lion left and
dead, and their Deponent imaging
he must have been dead a
considerable time.

Mr. Newson an Apothecary
in Duke Street immdiately was applied to
who sent Mr. Law his Assistant
who attempted to bleed him in
his left Arm but way little
blood issued forth and he declared
there were no Signs of Life in him.
