deceased knock and hollow out very loud
whereupon this Deponent got up and an down
stairs and when he came to the deceds door
on the stairs the deceased said go to the other
Door for that is bolted then this Deponent
went to the other Door in the [..] Front room
and paid it when the dead said who is it
is it Jack and this Deponent said yes,
whereupon he said bring up same water for
the Room is afire but we can soon put it out
but this Deponent desired him to come down
stairs as he saw the Bed all in Flames
and his Master appeared to be very black
and this Deponent cannot say in his Confu-
-sion have they [..] went down stairs to other
and then but this Deponent in coming down
stairs called out Fire and roused the
neighbourhood when assistance was soon
gained and extinguished the Fire.
This Deponent further paveth that same
Doctors were afterwards sent for who
attended him to the time of his decease
which happend about 5 o'Clock
a yesterday evening the 17th. Instant

being sworn Deponeth that seen after
four o'Clock on Saturday Morning
but he was called up to go to captain
Charles Payne Galway< no role > in Maddox
Street who he found lying on a bed
in the Back parlour dreadfully
burnt in the Face Hands & Buttocks
at which time he was quite sensible
and continued so until within two
hours of his death, whereupon their
Deponent pointed out the necessity
of sending for a Surgeon wherewhich
Mr Heathside was immediately sent for and also
Mr Farquar Surgeon to the [..]
and every means was used for his recovery
