by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith,
and so forth, before

, upon the Oath of the several Jurors whose Names are here under written, and
Seals affixed, good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly chosen, who being then and
there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the King, when, how, and by
what Means the said

their Oath say that the said

not being of sound Mind
Memory and Understanding but lunatic and distracted on the eighth
day of March in the year aforesaid at the Parish and in the Liberty
aforesaid, in the Dwelling House of
Elizabeth Flint< no role >
aforesaid, in the a
certain Razor made of iron and Steel, which he the said

then and there had and held in his night hand, the Throat on
gullett of him the said
Thomas Hackett< no role >
, did then and there strike,
stab and penetrate, thereby, then and there giving unto himself the
said
Thomas Hackett< no role >
, so being lunatic and distracted as aforesaid
with the Razor aforesaid in or upon the Throat or Gullett of him the
said

one Mortal wound of the length of three
Inches and of the depth of one, Inch: Of which said Mortal
Wound he the said

then and there instantly
died, And so the Jurors aforesaid, upon their Oath aforesaid
do say, that, the said

Mind Memory, and understanding but lunatic and
distracted in manner and by the means aforesaid, did kill himself
