Informations of Witnesses taken
this 4th. December 1794 at the Dwelling
House of Joseph Mabley< no role > Sign of the Bell in New Tothill
Street touching the Death of John Marsh< no role > then
of the lying dead to wit

Elizabeth Green< no role > as single Woman a Lodger with Mr
Upper at No. 9 in the great Almoury parish of
being Sworn deposethsaiththat St. Margaret Westmr

She has been acquainted with the deced upwards of
five Months last past that during the last three Weeks
the deced hasconstantly [..] been with her except in the
on Guard that he Slept with her on Monday
Night last (the 1st. Decr. 1794) & next away on Tuesday Morng
the deced returned to this Deponent on Tuesday
being last about a gr. before ten o' Clock.
at this time a Soldier was in her Room and in the
Bed this dept. was not in Bedwhose name she believes to be James Sampson< no role > [..] in Sansor of the
Coventry Volunteerthis Dept. was then preparing
to go to bed some body
the deced to last this
Deponent when he went away or Tuesday
Moorg that he should not return when that
Night as he was to Mount Grand the next
Moorg. As this Dept. was preparing to go to
Bed on the Said Tuesday Evening about a 9r.
before 10 o' Clock person Knocked at the Door
This Dept. opened it& thing & bein and bed John Marsh< no role >
the Person who Knocked at the Door to come in
which he accordingly did. the Deced there
