Information of Witnesses taken
this 1st. of October 1794 at the
Dwelling House of James Hill< no role > the Sign of the Barley
Mow in Mount Street in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square on view of the Body of William
Jones
< no role > then & there lying dead as follow to wit
William Wybrow< no role > pupil to Mr Paine Surgeon of Comer Brook
Street 22. being sworn deposeth & saith, that the deced ever brot
into the Workhouse or Saturday Night this Deponent
did not see him that night, Mr Whittle Journeyman
to her west the Parish apothecary however
saw the Deced immediately he was brought in
& he ordered him to be put to Bed immediately
the Deced was bled that Might & appeared to her Whittle
to be intoxicated this Deft. was sent for the following Morning
& Sunday this Dept. upon Examination found
a lacrated Wound upon the Poster or part
of the Head but he did not perceive any
fracture the Deced was then in a shiped
[..] wit State but had been delirious all the
Night this Dept. called in the assistance
of the Heavitwe Surgeon & this both
of opinion that there was an Extravacatn
of Blood upon the Brain & which was
cataraly the Came of his Death This Dept
administered such Relief or he Judge access an
for a Pacor in his Situation which had not
however the desired effect at the deced died at
2 o' Clock on Monday the next Morng. [..]
