1793 at the Dwelling House of Robert Fenlosen< no role >
the Coroner of Panton Street Hay market Parish of St. Martin in the
Fields being the Sign of the Union Arms on view of the Body of
Thomas Eaton< no role > then & there being dead

Thomas Herriot< no role > No. 29 Chandler Street Parish of St.
Geo: Hanr. Sq : being sworn, saith, that as he was passing through
Oxenden Street between the hours of 9 & 10 o'Clock on Wednesday
Evening last the 15th. Inst. he saw a Coach turn round the Street
and at the same time two men (the one higher in Stature than
the othr) on this depts. appearg. seem to use from off the
ground from away immediately. Or this Dept's coming up (with
some othr persons to him unknown) to the spot from whence
the said two Men appeared to have risen, he there saw the
deced , Thos. Eaton< no role > , laying on his back, with a Stick under him
& observed some blood near unto the place This Dept.
with some other persons lifted the Deced up (who same
one from) and conveyed him immediately to Mr Robt.
Feulosens House in Panton St. aforesaid but he believes
the said Thos. Eaton< no role > to have been quite dead proper
Assistance was immediately procured but to no Effect
as there were not the least Symptoms of Wife remaining. The
Dept. is positive that the Breeches Pockets of the deced [..] were
turned quite inside out, & from the Circumstance of the two Men
running away on his Appearance, and the Condition in which he found the
deced that they either had or were endeavouring [..] him.
