Informations taken this fourth day of August and then said
seven hundred and ninety at the House of Wm. Buckland< no role >
in Upper Mont Street Grosvenor Square known by the
Sign of the Bell

John Mignell< no role > Servant to Mr. Conqer & Co Windmerchant
in Upper Mount Street Grofanor Squared being
Sworn saith that between the hour afternoon and
eight o' Clock last Night the third of August instant
he and the deceased took off their Cloaths on the Brick [..]
on the North Side of the Serpentime River in Hyde
Park and went into Water together to bathe
that the deceased could sworn best this Deponent
could not sworn, that the deceased sworn two or
then tinds at a distanced out of his depth from this Deponent and
returned into his Depth again that the deceased
sworn again at a distanceand in [..] returnning he
thought the decesed hed returned within this hepth

with on intension to swim our the River to the
opposite Show and this Deponent was looking
at him until he thought the deceased was within
his depth on the opposite side and then paid [..]
no further Attention to the deceased but was
amusing himself in the Water until he heard
a Person on the Bank of the River owen this Deponent
say, that some People on the opposite side of the
River were carrying way the Body of a man That way
drowned and when they brought the deceased [..]
a cross the River in a Boat this Deponent went to the
place when they hid just disposed the Corps on the Bank
out of the Boat the found that it was the Body of the
deceased.
