Informations taken this Twenty forth
day of June 1791 at the Parish of St.
Margaret with in the Liberty of Westmr .
in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of
John Hughes< no role > lying dead in the dead
Parish Liberty and County.

Christopher Holmes< no role > a Soldier in Cold Glyeries
Company in the First Regiment of Guards on
his Oath saith That on Saturday last the
Twenty fifth day of this instant June this
Dept. was at Mr. James Miller< no role > 's in the Broad
Way Westminster , and that John Hughes< no role > the
Deced, and James Scott< no role > were there both of
them being Soldiers in the said Regiment
Says that Scott and the Deced had Wards
there, She Deced was coming out and Scott
was standing in the Door Way, the Deced
tumbled against Scott's foot, and immediately
turned about and struck Scott on the fare
with the back of his Hand, and told Scott, if.
he came into the Yard he would Lick him
the Deced accordingly went into the Yard
and Scott followed him, but Mr. Miller
turned them doth out, Says that Scott went
into the Taproom and the Deced went into
the Shop where he staid about ten Minutes
and then came into the Taproom, and said
to the Deced, if you will came with me
to Tothill Fields I will have it out [..]
with you, to which Scott made no Answer
Says that Deced went out at the Door
and Scott not following him he Deced turned
back, Saying tothe DecedScott that if he did not
Lick him then he would another time, to
which Scott answered the some the better
and
