day of March 1791 at the Parish of St.
Martin in the Fields within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of
Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Catherine
Stanfields
< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Elizabeth Dickson< no role > Servant to Mr. [..]
Lodger at Mr. William Standfield< no role > in the
Strand in the Parish of St. Martin in the
Fields Westminster on her Oath saith That
on Wednesday the Ninth Instant between
Seven and Eight o'Clock in the Evening
Dept. was going down Stairs having a Child
in her Arms, when she met Catherine
Davies
< no role > Servant to the Deced upon the
Stirs going into her Mistress's Room
and on her opening the Room Door
Catherine Davis< no role > immediately cryd out
O Betty Betty She is all on Fire, upon
which Dept. went into the Room which
W [..] full of S [..] and the Deced's Cloaths
on Fire, Says that she went out of the
Room to the Child that was crying and
called Mr. Standfields who went directly
to the Deced and two Young Lads in
the Shop followed, and extinguished the
Flames, Says that she afterwards went
there and assisted to get the Deced into
Bed, She being burst in her Right Hand
and Arm, Breast and Neck Says that the
Deced languished until the last day
about two o'Clock in the afternoon of
