Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex }


Informations taken this Third
day of December 1789 at the Parish of
St Margaret within the Liberty of
Westmr. in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death
of a Man unknown lying dead in
the said Parish Liberty and County.

John Guthridge< no role > of Church Street Lambeth
Fisherman on his Oath saith That this Dept.
was last Night Fishing in the River Thames
and between the houses of Eleven and Twelve
this Dept. was Drawing his Net and at
the bottom of the River a little below
Westmr. Bridg in the Parish of St. Margt.
Westmr. when the Deced who was at the
bottom of the River, was pulled up in the
Net, tied a piece of Line & the Doe [..]
Arm, and towed him to the Shore at the
Wooden Bridge Palace Yard , the Deced
appearing to have been many days in the
River, Drowned, but Dept. observed no
Marks of violence upon the Deced.

John Guttridge< no role > on his Oath that he was with his
Father Fishing in the River Thames last Night
when the Net brought the Deced up, and the
Body was Towed to the Wooden, Says that the
in the Parish of St. Margaret , Says that the
Body was fastened there, and while his Father
was gone to the Watchhouse Dept. Searched the
Deced's Pockets and therein found a Silver
Watch, Five shilling and six pence in [..]
and five pence, half penny [..] in Copper which
Mr. Guttridge now produced
