Nineteenth day of March 1789
at the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square within the Liberty of
Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching
th death of Terrence Mc. Donald
lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

William Dean< no role > Victualler at the Sign of the old
Bag of Nails Pimlico in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square on his Oath saith That on
Tuesday last the seventeenth [..] Instant Terrence
Mc. Donold
< no role > came to Dept. House about half
hour after Eight o'Clock and drank there
with Company until after Elevon o'Clock
when Deced went away, who did not
then appear to be Intoxicated with
Liquor, Says that a little after twelve o'
Clock the Deced was carried back to Depts.
House by the Watchman and other Men
who, they said had been found in the
Area of a House uninhabited at Pimlico
and that the Deced was dead when found
and Says that he observed no Marks of
violence upon the Body, Says that three
Surgeons endeavoured for a long time
to restore the Deced to life, but without
effect and the Surgeons declared that they
believed the Deced was Strangled having [..] falling
into the Area, his Neck cloth being very
tight.
