Informations taken this Twenty seven
day of octobe 1788 at Kensington in
the Parish of St. Margaret within the
Liberty of Wetmr. in the County of
Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of Thomas Miles< no role > now lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

John Baily< no role > of Kensington Carpenter on his
Oath saith That on Friday last the Twenty fourth
of October Instant Thomas Miles< no role > the Depted
aged twelve years & upwards) was playing
with other Boys upon Kensington Palace
Green, and endeavouring to get some
Boughs off the Trees there in order to
make a Boufire on the fifth of November
and having a Stone fastened to a Piece
of Sash Line which Dept. by the desire
of the Deced threw ove a Bough of
a Tree and the Boys by pulling the
Line, broke the Bough, and that the
thick End of the Bough struck the Deced
upon the left side of his Head, Which he
put his Hand up to, saying that he was
hurt but not very much, Says that
the Deced died the next day, and
Dept. believes that he died in consequence
of the hurt he then reced upon his Head,
as he was perfectly well before the hurst
was reced.

& apothecary on his Oath saith That on [..]
Saturday last the twenty fifth Instant Dept.
was fetched to the Deced, found him in
a Delicious state and in a violent Fever
and was informed by the Deceds Mother that
he had reced a hurt by the thick End of the
