Informations taken this Ninth day of
June 1788 at Knightsbridge in the Parish
of St. Margaret within the Liberty of
Westminster in the County of Midsex when
an Inquisition touching the death of William
Robinson
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County

John Gallop< no role > of Kensington Gardener on his
Oath saith That this Morning between Ten
and Eleven o'Clock Dept. was going to his
Garden in the Hyde Park when the Law a
MangoingStripped & went Park into the Serpentine River
That some People on the Shore said they
wanted a Boat and Dept. went to the
Keeper's and with Mr. Jones the Under
keeper got out the Boat ad Rowed towards
the Men wen he saw the Deced's Head
above the Water his Body being in the
River, Says that Mr. Jones got hold of
the Deced and pulled him to the Shore
in the Parish of St. Margaret the Deced
being in the River between thirty and
forty Yards, Says that he saw no Marks
of violence upon the Deced nor did he
appear to have been many days Drowned
Says that the Deced was naked.
