day of May 1788 at the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields within the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Middelsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of
a Man unknown lying dead in
the said Parish Liberty & County

John Etornean< no role > one of the Beadles of
the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields on
his Oath saith, That this Morning about
half past Six o' Clock he was called up by
a Person whom he did not know who informed
Dept. that a Drowned Man lay on the Share
at the Adelphi wharf Says that he went
there and saw the Deced, whom he did
of the River Thomas insaid parish his Cloath being very
Wit and the Deced did not appear to have
been long Drowned, and Dept. thought
that the Tide which then Flowed had left
the Deced there, there being no Marks
of violence upon the Deced
