that he went to fetch a Surgeon
who came directly saw the Deced and declard
that the Deced, was dead, there being a great
Deal of Blood in his Hat which came from
Deced & Ed [..] Says that there was no Person
at Work near the Deced and Dept. believes
that the Deced Accidentally fell from the
Machine upon the Stone Pavement in the
Back Yard

John Steer< no role > a Carpenter on his Oath saith
that he Worked last Saturday at a House
in Queen Street in the Parish of St. James
where John Gould< no role > the Deced was likewise
at Work Painting, Says that before Dinner
that day he saw the Decedasleepupon a
Machine sitting [..] and appeared to be
asleep, Says that he carefully waked him
and about two o'Clock that Afternoon
Dept. saw the Deced move the Machine to
another Window in the same Room but
Dept. did not see the Deced as upon the
Machine, Says that he believes the Deced
began to Paint the Window on the outside
and that he Accidentally fell from thence
into the Yard and thereby Reced a large
Wound on the back part of his Head, which
was the came of Deced's Death
