Minutes Mary Hill< no role > came in and on
Dept. desiring her to fetch the Broom out
of the Hitchin, She brought it and
said that she saw a Chair by the side
of the Water-tub, which surprized this
Dept. as She thought that the Chair was
not there when Dept. filled the Tea kettle
Says that Mary Hill< no role > went down again into
the Hitchin with a lighted. Candle and
immediately returned frighten'd cry
out that some Person was in the Water [..]
and that she had seen the Heel of a Shoe
there, upon which Dept. went to the Door
and called the Porter at the Sign of the
Rose desiring him to go down Stairs
& that Miss Hill had informed her that
some body was in the Water Tub upon
which he went, and immediately after
said that he could not get her out, but
would call Assistance, and soon brought
several Men with him, who got her ou [..]
saying that it was the Deced and that she
was Drowned, Says that Mr. Fosbrook
a Surgeon was Fetched. And Dept says
that she believes the Deced Drowned
herself Says that the Deced at times
appeared to be very uneasy in her mur [..]
and often cried saying that it was us
hard that she should work so heard
and not have her Cloaths, or be paid
her Wages, and Dept. says that the
Deced appeared to Dept. to be very
uneasy in her Mind, And this Dept.
further Says that no Person Slept in Mr.
Andrews's House in Saturday Night last
the fourteenth Instant but Mr. Andrews
this Dept. and the Deceased.

Mary Hill< no role > of Queen's Court Queen Street
Lincoln's Inn Fields Single woman on her
Oath saith that she frequently goes to
Mr. Andrews to work, That she went there
yesterday Morning about a Quarter
before Eight oClock, and was let in by
Mrs. Talley, Says that on her observed
that the Coffee Room was not swept, out
Mrs. Tarlley said that she did not know
where the Maid was unless [..] was
run away and desired Dept. to
fetch a Broom out of the Hitchin
which she did and observed that
a Chair stood by the side of the
Water tub Says that soon after Dept.
took a lighted Candle into the Hitchin
and found the Deced in the water tub
which frightned her, and on her
acquainting Mrs. Talley therewith
she called the Porter at the Rose, who
came there, and brought more Men
who pulled the Deced out of the water
his, this Dept. being present, the
Decd appearing to be Drowned
Says that a Surgeon was fetched who
endeavoured for some time to restore
the Deced to life, but without effect
That no Marks of violence then
appeared upon the Deced

That the Deced had been Servant to Dept.
about three Weeks Says that last Sunday
