good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Alice Obrien came to
h er Death, do upon their Oath say , That the said Alice Obrien< no role >
on the
Thirteenth day of August in the Year aforesaid, being at play with
other Girls upon a certain Barge loaden with Coals in and upon
the River Thames
at Fry Bridge in the Parish aforesaid, within the
Liberty and County aforesaid, and having hold of an Empty Barge
there floating, it so happened, that the said Alice Obrien then
and there Accidentally Casually and by Misfortune fell down
between the said Barges into the said River Thames
and in
the Waters thereof was then and there Suffocated and
Drowned of which said Suffocation and Drowning, she
the said Alice Obrien then and there died. And so the
Jurors aforesaid, upon their Oath aforesaid, do say
That the said Alice Obrien in Manner and by the Means
aforesaid. Accidentally Casually and by Misfortune came to
her Death
