day of August 1786 at the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the
Death of Charity Hancock an Infant
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County

Brick Street Coachman on her Oath saith
That on the fifth day of this Instant August in
the Morning this Dept. being at home wasMr Edward
Harris
< no role > fetched to Mr. Hancock's Apartment in the House of Mr. John
Imeson
< no role > in Down Street in the Parish of
St. George Hanr. Square and was informed
that the Deced Arm was Scalded by falling
upon a Saucepan with Boiling Water
in it, in her Apartment, Says that she
Saw that the Childs Arm was Scalding,
Says the Deced's Mother put on some
Treacle, and sent for Mr. Evans a Surgeon
who came there and attended the Deced
Says that the Child became Convulsed
and died on Monday the Seventh Just.
and Dept. thinks that it was in consequence
of the Scalding abovementioned and
the Fright, the Child being absent Sixteenfourteen
Months old
