Informations taken this fourth
day of August 1786 at the Parish of St.
George of Westmr. in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the
death of Sarah Waporton lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty and County

Ann Dunham< no role > the Wife of John Dunham< no role >
of Chandler Street in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square Sawyer on her Oath saith
That Sarah Waporton< no role > the Deced has lodged
a fortnight in Dept. House, and Dept. saw
her every Day, That she went on Wednesday
last to Deced's Room to ask her how she
was, but Deced spoke very little to her
Says that not seeing the Deced Yesterday
Dept. went to Deced's Room and found the
Door [..] Locked, That about four
o'Clock in the Afternoon, a Smith was
fetched who Picked the Lock with some
Difficulty in Dept. presence when Dept.
went in and saw the Deced Hanging by
a Cord which was fastened to a piece of
a Quilting France put across the Rail
of the Bed and about her Neck, the
Deced appearing to be dead, Says that
she believes, that the Deced Hanged herself
the Key being in the Lock on the inside
of the Door, Says that the Deced was
very low Spirited and said very little

Square Surgeon & Apothecary on his Oath
saith That Yesterday about five oClock in
the Afternoon he was desired to go to the
Deced whom he found Hanging by a Cord
in her Bed chamber Says that he out the
Cord
