Hanover Square within the Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
Elizabeth Potts< no role > an Infant lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty & County

Jane Stephens< no role > a Lodger at Mrs. Edn Moore< no role > in
Oxford Buildings in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square on her Oath saith That
She usually slept with Mrs. Sarah Clements< no role >
Mother of the Deced an Infant about
Eleven Weeks old, and Slept with her
and the Child on Thursday Night last
the Twenty seventh Instant Says that about
Twoo' Clock on Friday Morning the Child
cryed very much and Mrs. Moore came
up Stairs, That the Child cryed again
at three o' Clock and Dept. [..] the Mother and the Mother gave the
Child the Breast, who cryed very strong and
appeared to be well, Says that She dropped
asleep and was awaked by the Deced the Mother
a little before five who said that her
Child was dead, and alarmed the Lodgers
Says that she saw the Child dead, but Dept.
cannot say how it dead. Says that the
Mother was very Deaf, and Addicted to
Liquor, That she was fond of the Child
and Dept. does not think that she intended doing
the Child any Injury.
