An Inquitition Indented, taken for our Sovererign Lord the
King at the Parish of Saint Martin in the Field
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter , Westminster ,
in the Counrty of Middlesex , the Thirtieth day of March in the twenty sixth
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of
Great-Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas

chosen, who being then and there sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when how and by that what Means the said Michael Clarkson< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say, That the said Michael Clarkson< no role >
not being of sound Mind Memory and Understanding but
lunatick and distracted on the said Thirteentn day of
March in the Year aforesaid into a certain Water Tub or
Butt standing in the Yard adjoining to the dwelling
House of the said Michael Clarkson< no role > Situate and being
in New street in the Parish aforesaid, within the Liberty
and County aforesaid, there did Cast and there himself
by means of Which said Casting and throwing he the said
Michael Clarkson< no role > in the Water in the said Tub was
then and there suffocated and Drowned of Which said
Suffocation and Drowning he the said Michael Clarkson< no role >
then and there died And so the Jurors aforesaid,
upon their oath aforesaid, do say that the said Michael
Clarkson
< no role > not being of Sound Mind Memory and understanding
But Lunatick and distracted, in memory and by the Means
aforesaid, did drowned and hill himself. In Witness whereof
as well the said Coroner as the said Charles Byner Foreman
of the said Jurors on the behalf of himself and the Rest
of his Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition
set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and Place
above mentioned
