Informations taken this Tenth day of
February 1786 at the Parish of St. John the
Evangelist within the Liberty of Westmr . in
the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of John Ward< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty & County.

William Comfort< no role > Servant to John Ward< no role > the Deced
of the Horse Ferry Road in the Parish of St. John
the Evangelist Westmr . Backmaker on his Oath
saith That the Deced & the Ward had made a New Wooden
Back and was this day going to load a Cart
with it in order to carry it to a Brewer
at Chelsea , Says that the Deced this Dept.
and three other People were lifting the
Back into the Cart but the Back
Accidently fell down upon the Deced, whereby
the Deced (being upon the Ground in his Yard)
reced a mortal Fracture on the left side
of his Head near the left Eye, Says that
the Deced never spoke afterwards but
died there immediately, And Dept. says
that Deced's Death was merely Accidental
