Sixteenth day of September [..]
at the Parish of St. James within the
Liberty of Westminster in the County
of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Thomas B [..]
lying dead in the Parish
Liberty and County.

Thomas Carlisle< no role > of Brewer Street in the
Parish of St. James Westmr. Butcher on
his Oath saith That Thomas Brown< no role > the
Deced has Lodged with Dept. in a two pair
of Stairs Room about a Year & an half
Says that he has not seen the Deced [..]
since Monday or Tuesday last, That
last Night between Seven and Eight
o'Clock Mary Barge Depts. Sister in Law
went up Stairs to ask Deced if he wanted
any thing, That she very soon come down
much frightened and after some time
said the Mr. Brown had Hanged himself
upon which this Dept. and Mr. Hankey
a Neighbour went up Stairs to Deced's Room and saw
the Deced Hanging by a Cord which
was fastened to [..] Iron Staple in the
Ceiling and about the Deced's Neck
Says that with a Knife Dept. cut the Cord
and Deced dropped down with his Feet
upon the Floor and then into a Cl [..]
that stood near him, Says that Deced
was quite Cold and had been dead [..]
time And Dept. believes that the [..]
Hanged himself Says that the [..]
has for some time been afflicted [..]
violent Billions Complaint [..]
