Informations taken this Twenty eighth
day of April 1785 at the Parish of St.
James within the Liberty of Westmr. in
the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of William Gust< no role >
an Infant lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Rees Thomas< no role > at the Coach and Horses in
Dover Street Picadilly in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square on his Oath saith
That on Monday last the twenty fifth day of
April instant, this Dept. saw William Gust
the Deced, (an Infant about the Age of Ten
Years) standing in the Street called Pricadilly
near the old White Horie Cellar in the Parish
of St. George Hanover Square , that a Gentleman
on House back (being a light Bay Horse) was
Riding in the Coach way in Pricadilly towards
Hyde Park Corner , being upon a Canter,
Say, that the Horse in passing by the Deced
forced the Deced down, and the Horr with his hinder
foot on the Near side trod upon the Deced
right side, That the Gentleman pulled up stopped, and
looked back, and that the Boy got up and ran
to the foot have ment, and then Dropped down
there, put his Hand to his side and was
not able to act up, but was able to speak
and told Dept. where he lived Says that
the Deced was carried in a Coach to the
St. George's Hospital in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square , and Dept. went with him
Says that the Surgeon their ordered a
Hot Bed for the Deced and Proposed to
Foment the Deced's side, but Dept. did not
stay there, was informed in less than
two Hours that the Deced was dead, and
Dept. believes that he died in consequence
of the hurt he reced from the Horse, Says
that the Gentleman was looking one Way
and
