Informations taken this Twenty second
day of Decr. 1784 at the Parish of St. Margaret
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of a Woman unknown
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

Mary< no role > the Wife of Job Dakin< no role > of New Palace
Yard Victualler on her Oath saith That on Monday [..]
about One o'Clock Dept. saw the Deced sitting
before Depts Door in the Foot Way seemingly
assleep, and desired some Brewers Servants
to bring Deced into the House which they did
and soon after Deced began to be Sick at
her [..] Stomach, upon which she Sent
to Mr. Grant the Apothecary, whose Journyman
came immediately, and gave her some Oil
three times without effect, Dept. having
been informed that the Deced had drank
some Brandy Says that she was not able
to speak, and appeared to be very bad,
and about Three o'Clock Deced was carried
in a Chair to the Parish Workhouse
as Dept. was informed.

Apothecary on his Oath saith That between
two & three o'Clock on Monday the tweentieth
Instant Mrs. Dakin came to Mr. Grants (who-
was gone out) and desired Dept. to came to
her House Says that he went with her and
there same the Deced insensible and not able to
Speak Says that she smelt of Liquor, and
appeared
