Informations taken this Twenty ninth
day of November 1784 at the Parish
of St. James within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of
William Jones< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Robert Farnham< no role > of Bulstrode Street
Mary bone Carpenter on his Oath saith That
he was this dayforat Work for Mr. Holland
the Surveyor at Carlton House in the Parish
of St. James Westmr. Says that between Ten &
Eleven o'Clock. this Morning Dept. was upon
the Building and William Jones< no role > the Deced
who was a Carpenter was upon a Scaffold
on the outside of the Building: with Six
other Men, moving the Head of a heavy
Girder, when the Scaffold on which they
were standing gave Way, and the Deced
and two other Men fell down from thence
(being at the height of about four and
thirty feet.) to the Area in the Front
of the said House, Says that the Deced
was not able to speak or move, and
died instantly, That the Deced reced
a violent Wound on the top of his Head
and that the Deced's death was merely
Accidental by the fall above mentioned
