Informations taken this Twenty sixth
day of Novr. 1784 at the Parish of St. James
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Midsex upon an Inquisition touching the death
of William Scower< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

William Hemings< no role > Servant to Mr. Daniel
Fowston
< no role > Hackneymen of Shug lane in the
Parish of St. James Westmr. on his Oath saith
That this day a little after Two o Clock this
Dept. was in the House of William Wright< no role >
a Victualler at the White Hart in Shuglane
in the Parish of St. James Westmr. when
Mrs. Wright came out of the back room
much frightened, saying for God's sake
come here, upon which Dept. went
backwards and saw William Scower
the Deced with a Razor in his Right
Hand, (Dept. was Shaving himself)
Says that he saw the Deced give himself
a Wound in the Throat, by Drawing
the Razor three times across his Throat
and the Deced bled very much, Threw
the Razor on the Floor and fell himself
on the Floor where he died in about
five Minutes. And this Dept. further
Says that for the last four days he verily
believes from the Deced's Behaviour and
Conversation that the Deced was not [..]
his Senses

on his Oath saith That about two o Clock
this day Dept. was in Mr. Wright's Taproom
when Mrs. Wright came out of the back room into
the Taproom much frightened, saying that
the Man was outting his Throat, upon with
Mr.
