Informations taken this twenty first
day of October 1784 at the Parish [..]
Margaret within the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Midsex [..] Inquisition
[..] the Death of Parish Liberty
[..] County,

Thomas Hornsby< no role > one of the Watchmen on in
the Parish of St. Margar Westmr . on his Oath
saith That Yesterday Morning about forty
Minuts after five O' Clock this Dept. was
Locking up his Box at the End of thing [..]
the Seventh Chapel when a Man came of
to him sayine that a Man dropped out
a two pair of Stairs Window of a House
now Reparing in St. Margaret Street
upon which he went to the Hence before
the House and Rattled That come of
the Watchmen and other People come
there, and that a Soldir got over a got
the Deced Groaving and [..] for
Assistance Saying that his name was Jones
was a Laborer belonging to the works
and had slept in the House in order
to let the Workmen in, That he had
fastened his Room Door and not being
able to open it he let himself down by
a Cord intening to get in at the one
pair of Staird Window to open the
Doors, for the Workmen but that the
Cord by which he held, broke, and he
fell into, the Area and thong [..] he
had broke every Bone in his Skin
and Particularly Complained of his
Back, Say, that the Deced was Lifted
up by the Workmen and this Dept
and that he was afterwards Carried
to the Wastmr. Hospital
