did not go out of the House any more that Day the
next day she saw him and as his Wife was out of Town
She got some Tea for him, he complained very much
of a Violent Pain in the fore part of his Head said he
bound a Handkerchief very tight about it but he could
not got rid of it, said it as it were boiled again. Dept.
went several times in the Day time up to him and
Sometimes found him on the Bed, it was proposed the
sending to his Wife as he was Ill and he was told the
Letter was sent on the Friday when it was not tell this
Saturday, he said so much the letter as he should therein
See her once more. Deponent says the last time she
Saw the Deced was Sunday Night about 8 o'Clock when
a Pint of Beer was bought him and Deponent went up
with the Maid who bought the Beer, and he took it
and shut the Door and locked it. Deponent says the
Deced rather Drank more than usual since his Wife
went into the County says she think his uneasness
of Mind was occasioned by his Wifes Absence so long.

John Jones< no role > Victualler at the Crown in Broad Street
St. James's on his Oath saith, Met on Monday Morning
last about 9 o'Clock Mrs. Taylor where the Deced lodged
sent for him desiving him to come as soon as possible
he went immediately and found Mrs. Taylor and the
Deceased's Wifes Sisters in the Passage CryingHe
asked if the Deceds was worse, they denied him to go
up directly as they could not get admittance in, He
went up to the Deced Room Door and there were three
Gentleman endeavouring to open the Door with a Poker
Deponent desired they would let him come and he kicked
the Lock and broke it open and found the Deceased
laying in the Bed with his throat cut and a great
quantity of Blood about him, and the Bed and Floor
he likewise saw a Razor lying on a Table in the Room
which was Bloody, and it appeared to Deponent that
he had been Dead some timeDeponent says the Deced
used to Dine with him once a Week while his Wife was
in the County and used to eat pretty well, till Monday was
a Week when he fell off from eating, and rather differed
in his manner and behaviour, and complained of his Head.
