Informations taken this Eight
day of May 1784 at the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square within
the Liberty of Westminster in the
County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of William Thomas Simes< no role >
an Infant lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County.

William Simpson< no role > ofat the White House Lodging Hyde Park in the Parish
of St. George Hanover Squar Gardener on his
Oath saith That Mrs. Mary Symes< no role > Mother
to William Thomas Symes the Deced (an Infant)
of three Years old and upwards, lives in
the same House with Dept. Says that on
WednesdayThursday Evening last the Sixth Instant
Dept. was coming out of his Garden there
and saw Mrs. Symes looking for the Deced
and ordering the other Children to call
the Deced. in, Says that he found the
Deced Drowned in the Mote near the
Door and believes that the Deced
Accidentally fell into the Water, and was
Drowned and Dept. with a Rake got Deced out. Says that he was informed
by Mrs. Symes and the Servant that the
Deced had not been gone out of the House
above half an hour. Says that he saw
the Deced's Hat floating upon the
Water.
