Informations taken this Twenty sixth
day of August 1783 at Tothill Field Bridewell in the
Parish of St. Margaret within the Liberty
of Westmr. in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of Sarah
Huggins
< no role > a Prisoner lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County.

William Mitchell< no role > one of the Beadles of
the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields on
his Oath saith, That on Friday last the twenty
second Instant about three o'Clock in the
Afternoon he was fetched to take Sarah
Huggins
< no role > the Deced, who was lying at the
Door of the Work house in Castle Street , into
the Workhouse of said Parish, which he did
the Deced appearing to be Feeble, but
able to Walk, Says that she called for
some Water which refreshed her much
and Deced was then put into one of the
Wards, Says, that he saw the Deced the
next day who said she was a little
better, Says that yesterday Morning Dept
was ordered to go with the Deced in a
Coach to Mr. Justice Hyde where she Swore
that her Settlement was in the Parish
of Clapham , upon which Mr. Hyde
Committed her to Tothill Fields Bridewell
in order to be Passed that day from there
to her Parish ahead Dept. understood
she much wished, Says that he went
with the Deced in a Coach to Bridewell
where the Deced was assisted from the
Coach by two People, but Dept. did not think
the Deced so near her Death.
