Says that several of the Workman went to the
Deced and carried him up to the Door where
Dept. saw him, being then dead, but Dept.
cannot say whether the Deceds death was
occasioned by the blow which he reced from the
other Man or not, Says that from the time
of the Battle to the time the Deced was found
dead the Man who fought with the Deced was
with Dept. in the other House and was not
near the Deced, and Says that the Deced was
in Liquor when he fought.

William Fryer< no role > a Bricklayers Laborer on
his Oath saith That he was at work yesterday
at a House in Arlington Street , where the
Deced likewise worked, Says that the
Workman had sold some old Wood to a Publican
in the Neighbourhood, That a Man who
came to work yesterday Morning wanted
to have some of the old Wood, Deced and he
had some Words, upon which the Deced gave the Man a [..] his break [..] with
his Firt Struck the Deced upon his Eye, and
immediatly shipped, says that the Man
returned the Blow and they fought in the
Street, says that the Deced reced a Blow
on his left side which brought him down
says that the Deced was not able to fight
any more, and he gave out Sat upon
the Pavement, put on his Cloaths and work
away, Says that in about a Quarter of
an hour one of the Workmen said that he
found the Deced dead upon the Stairs, upon
which Dept. went. and saw him upon the

Kitchin Stairs about Seven Steps from the
bottom, Say that he assisted to carry the
Deced up to the Door, but Deced was dead
and his Hands Cold, Says that he believes
the Blow the Deced reced on his leftside
to have occasioned, his Death, and believes
that it was Accidental That the Man would
not have fought if he could have shinned
it, and that he did not ship, and says
that the Man appeared to be very much
concerned when he was informed that
the Deced was dead.

John Norton< no role > of St. James's Street Toyman
on his Oath Saith That Yesterday Afternoon
about six o'Clock Dept. was at work as a Carpenter in a
House in Arlington Street says that the
Deced and a Man likewise at Work there
had some Words about some old Wood, That
the Deced shipped himself and wanted
the Man to fight which the Man would
have declined but Deced struck the
Deced in the face and made another
blow, upon which the Man Defendad
himself and they fought in the Street
and the first time they both come
down together, that they fought again
and Deced reced a Blow on his left
side which brought him down, upon
which the Deced said you are too strong
for me, Ill give it in, says that the
Deced Dressed himself and went away
