the Deced being laid upon a Box and
a Chair appearing to be dead, Says that
a Surgeon was fetched who endeavoured
for some time to recover the Deced without
Effect Says that she believes the Deced,
Hanged himself. Says that the Deced
was sober and well behaved and
appeared to be yesterday as usual.

Honor Smith< no role > Widow a Lodger at Mr.
Cumming & Mobbs in Princes Street on her
Oath saith That [..] went out yesterday
about five o Clock and returned a
little before Eight o'Clock and knocked
at the Street Door but could not get in
Says that about Nine Ann Warren< no role > the
Maid Servant and some home but could
not get in says that the Maid went
round the Corner (and get in at the
Parlour Window (as Dept. thinks) and
opened the Street Door, and th [..]
[..] Dept. went in, light a Candle and
went well the paid into the Kitchen
where they found the Deced Hanging by
a Cord against the Cupboard,Says that
she endeavoured to out the Cord with her
Sapars but could not
That the Maid
fetched Mr. Lion a Neighbour who assistd.
Dept. to left the Deced of the Nail upon [..]
the was Hanging the Deced having in va [..] be out the Cord without and laid him down upon
the Box. appearing to be dead, and Dept.

believes that the Deced Hanged himself

the Deced was Brushing a Hat, said he

Table saying that he believed he could
not Brush the Hat and appeared to be
low spirited
