An Inquisition Intended, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the Parish of Saint Margaret
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Seventh day of March in the twenty third
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of
Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas
Prickard

good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said William Easley came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say, That the said William Easley on the
Twenty fifth day of February in the Year aforesaid, being a Person
liable and subject to Fits was in a certain Barge upon the River
Thames in the Parish of St. John the Evangelist within the Liberty
and County aforesaid, and being then and there suddenly Setzed with one
of his usual Fits, he fell into the Fire on Board the said Barge,
by Reason thereof the Legs and Thighs of him the said William Easley
were then and there Accidentally Casually and by Misfortune
Scorched and Burnt, of which said Burning he the said William
Easley from the said Twenty fifth day of February in the Year aforesaid
until the fifth day of March in the same Year at the said Parish of
Saint Margaret within the Liberty and County aforesaid did
languish and live, on which said Fifth day of March, at the
Parish of Saint Margaret aforesaid he the said William Easley
of the Mortal Burning aforesaid did die. And so the
Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say, that
he the said William Easley in Manner and by the Means
aforesaid Accidentally Casually and by Misfortune
came to his Death and not otherwise. In Witness
whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Aaron Loton< no role >
Foreman of the said Jurors on the behalf of himself and
the rest of his Fellows in their presence have to this
Inquisition set their Hands and Seals, the Day Year
and Place abovewritten
