, good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Elizabeth Ruskin came to
h er Death, do upon their Oath say , That the said Elizabeth Ruskin, not
being of sound Mind Memory and Understanding but
lunatick and distracted, on the Thirty first day of January
in the Year aforesaid One End of a certain piece of small Cord
unto an Iron Hook fastened into a Piece of Timber in the
Lodging Room of her the said Elizabeth Ruskin in the
Dwelling House of

Union Street in the Parish aforesaid within the Liberty
and County aforesaid, and the other End there of about her
own Neck did fix tye and fasten, and therewith did then
and there hang suffocate and strangle herself of which said
Hanging Suffocation, and Strangling she the said Elizabeth
Ruskin then and there died. And so the Jurors aforesaid upon
their Oath aforesaid do say that the said Elizabeth Ruskin in
Manner and by the Means aforesaid, not being of sound Mind
Memory and Understanding but lunatick and distracted,
did kill herself. In Witness whereof as well the said
