Informations taken this First day
of February 1783 at the Parish of St.
Margaret within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Middlesex upon an
Inquisition touching the Death of
Elizabeth Ruskin< no role > being dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County.

William King< no role > of Union Street in the Parish
of St. Margaret Westmr. Chandler on his Oath
saith that Elizabeth Ruskin< no role > the Deced has
Lodged with Dept. almost three months last
past, That Deced kept very much in her
Room, but was down Stairs Deice or twice
last Thursday Says that Yesterday the Deceds
Sister came to Deced's Room and went away
saying that she could not make her hear
That she came again in the Evening and
and went up Stairs with Mrs. Durham
another Lodger and after calling some
time and having no Answer Mrs. Durham
came down to Dept. desiring him to come
up Stairs to force often the Door, Says
that he called Mr. Wilson a Neighbour
and both went up together, and after
calling at the Door and having no Answer
Mr. Wilson with a Hatchett forced open
the Room Door (which was Locked and the
Key in the Lock on the inside of the Door,)
Lays that on their going into the Room
he saw the Deced hanging by a Cord
which was fastened to an Iron Hook drow
into [..] a piece of Timber in
the Wall and about her own Neck, Says
that Mr. Nelson cut the Cord by which Deced
was Hanging, and Deced was laid as
