[..] Lane [..] Swear my life
away, Says the Deced refused to have his
Beer as usual on Sunday Night but clapped
his Hands together and cried, as he frequently
used to do.

William Gooden< no role > Waiter at the Bell Bagnio
in St. Martin Lane on his Oath saith That
Yesterday Morning (14. Octr.) between Ten
and Eleven o'Clock the Deced's Maid Servant
came to the Bagnio and desired Mr. Sams
to go to her Mistress immediately, upon which
this Dept. by Mr. James direction went to
Mrs. Henney, and hearing People Tereaining
up Stairs Dept. went up to Deced's Room Door
which was Locked, Says that he forced open
the Door, and saw the Deced Hanging by
a Cord which was put around an Hook
Skrew fastened into a Purloyn, over
that Window and around the Deced's Neck
and that he thinks the Deced's feet touched
the Floor, Says that the Deced was dead and
Cold, and appeared to have been dead several
hours, Says that he loosened the Cord, and
laid the Deced upon a Bed. Says that he
saw a Letter upon a Board before the
Deced folded up and directed to whom
it may concern, Says that he went to
fetch a Surgeon and returned in about ten
Minutes when he observed the Key in the
Lock on the inside of the Door

on his Oath saith, That he has known the
Deced Edward Henney< no role > about Eleven Years
Says that he called upon the Deced last Sunday
and found him much distressed in his Maid
on Account of Rent that he owed his Landlord
and Debts to different Persons, and said
that he should loose his Places
