An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the Parish Saint George Hanover Square
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Thirtieth day of August in the Twenty Second
Year of the Reign o four Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of
Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before, Thomas

< no role > , Gentleman , Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on

the Oath of

good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly Sworn and Charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said John Aldon< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say

That the said John Alden< no role > on the Twenty
ninth day of August in the Year aforesaid at the Parish and in the Liberty and County
aforesaid being Rolling the Gravel with a Rolling Stone in the Garden of the House
of Mrs. Robinson in Berkeley Square there situate if so happened that he the said
John Alden< no role > coming to near the descent or slope of the Garden Ground near to the
Area of the said House and over powered by the force of the Roller Accidentally casually
and by Misfortune fell from the said Garden Ground into the said Area with the said
Rolling Stone, by means whereof he the said John Alden< no role > then and there received at
violent and Mortal Concussion in the Brain of which said Mortal Concussion he the
said John Alden< no role > then and there instantly Died And to the Jurors aforesaid upon there
Oath aforesaid do say that the said John Alden< no role > in Manner and by the means aforesaid
accidentally casually and by Misfortune came to his Death and not otherwise
In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the Foreman of the Jurors aforesaid
on behalf of himself and the rest of the said Jurors have to this Inquisitions set their Hands
and Seals the Day and Year abovementioned
