St. Martins le Grand Painter on his Oath saith That about a
Fortnight ago, a Woman that lodged in the same House in the Garreott where
the Deceased [..] lived come to her, and said what must we do with
that Poor woman meaning the deceased for she is very bad, Deponent
said she would come and see her by and by, and said to her
Lodger Mary Stevens< no role > will you go with me and see hers she
and Many Stevens went together, and Deponent said to Deced
Well Poor Soul how are You, Deced replied oh Hvery bad Mean
for he had better Come and kill me at once for he kills me by
inches, says the Deceased was Sitting up in a Chair, and
appeared to be rather in a dirty situation, and her two Eyes were
very black, Decedased desired Deponent would lift up her Legs
on the Chair Frames which she did and Decedased oned art, Dept.
Saith that Deceased told her she had Miscarried about a Month ago, and Deponent
thinks she has not been well ever since Says she beleived she
went to the Hospital, but war brought back again the same Day
she was taken to the Hospital a second time and Staid a few
days. Deponent went to see the Deced last Tuesday Morning at
[..] the Deceds House, Says while she was there the
Husband of the Deceased came this and Deponent said to him You
Lee she's a Dying, he answered No No she was sit it would be a happy turn if she was Deponent
replied she certainly was. he then asked Deponent who she was

whether she was of his Wifes Crew, because if he thought
she was he would Sick her down Stairs. Deponent said she
she levied over the way, he seemed builder then and Said
oh very well. Deponent says she saw the Deceased the Day after
she said she had Miscarried up in her Room at Work which she thought was wrong for
a Woman in her Situation, and told her to, but she said
she must Work, or words to that purposed.

Sophia Montgomery< no role > aged 18 Years Servant to Mr. Marsh at
No. 17 in little Britain on her Oath Saith, that she lived a Servant
with the Deceased about half a Year, and left her about Eight
Weeks, Says
