Informations taken this Twelfth day of
May 1780 at the Parish of St. Martin in the
Fields within the Liberty of Westmr . in the
County of Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of Peter Philip Le Jeune< no role > lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty & County.

Rachel Le Jeune< no role > the Daughter of Peter Philip
Le Jeune of New street in the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields Westmr. on her Oath saith that Peter
Philip Le Jeune the Deced, and Brother to this
Dept. has been ill about a week last past &
complained of a violent Head ask, and for
two days was confined to his, Room, says that
she attended the Deced during his Illness and
was with him on Wednesday last (May 10)
in the afternoon, says that she left Deced in
his Room alone about half hour after four and went up stairs to fetch
a clean street to ut upon his Bed, that she
returned in about Ten Minutes into the
Deced's Room, when he saw the Deced lying
upon the Bed between the Blankets with a
great deal of Blood upon his shirt and upon
the Blankets which she observed to come from
a Wound in the Deced's throat, upon which
she said to Deced, Brother what have you done
to which he made no Answer, and Dept. Bricks
that he was not then sensible, says that she
then saw a Penknife Bloody upon the Bed
Cloaths, that she immediately went to her
father, who came with Dept. and his Apprentice
to the Deced, who appeared to be dead, Dept.
observing no life in him, says that she
believes the Deced gave himself the Wound in
the Throat which caused his Death with the
Penknife which she found Bloody upon the Bed
