Informations taken this Eleventh
day of May 1780 at the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square within the Liberty
of Westmr. in the County of Midsex upto
an Inquisition touching the death of
Andrew Dowley lying don't in the said
Parish Liberty of County.

William Witcomb< no role > at Mr. Carpenters at
abery Farmher Real House's in the Parish of St. George Hans.
Square Barket maker on his Oath saith
That John Witcomb< no role > Depts. son aged about
Eleven years was playing yesterday afternoon by
the side of the River near the Wooden
Bridge at Chelsea in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square , That he came home
and informed Dept. that he saw a Man's
Hand in the River, upon which Dept. went
and in the River there saw the Deced
lying on one side, That he pulled the
Deced to the Shore with the Assistance
of James Anderson< no role > , the Deced being dead,
and appeared to have been some time
Drowned, but Dept. observed no Marks
of violence upon the Deced, says that
by the order of the Constable he assisted
to carry the Deced to Mr. Jeffery's the sign
of the Chelsea writer works says that he
scarched the Deced's Pockett in the presence
of several Neighbours and there formed
two shillings & four pence three for things my Money
That he likewise took the Deced's Shoe &
Knee Bruckles and Stock Buckles.

some time, who was Housekeeper to the Opera
