Informations taken this Twenty
third day of February 1780 at the
Parish of St. James within the Liberty
of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex
upon an Inquisition touching the
death of Peter Frame< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty and County

Isaac Mouth< no role > Victualler at the Sign of the
Black Bull in Great Windmill Street in
the Parish of St. James Westmr. on his Oath
saith That yesterday between two and three
o'Clock in the Afternoon a Farmer on
Horce back and Peter Frame the Deced on
Foot come down theshesaid Street to Dept.
Door and called for a Pint of Beer, of
which they drank some, the Farmer
alighting off his Horse and the Deced
put the BridleoffUpon his Arm whifft
theDecedT [..] was paying for the Beer,
Says that a Cart loaded with Coals and
drawn by three Horses, was coming up
Windmill Street aforesaid, and that the
Farmers Horce was frightened and pulled the Deced
down backwards, against the Shaft of
the Cart, and the near Wheel of the Cart
passed over the Deced's Body on the right
side, Says that the Deced did not speak
afterwards, and died immediately
Says that the Driver of the Cart was in
his Place had hold of the Leader and stopped
the Horses immediately and appeared to
be much concerned for the Misfortune, and
Dept. says that it was merely Accidental
and that the Carter was not in fault
