day of January 1780 at Tothill Fields
Bridewell in the Parish of St. Margaret
Westminster touching the death of John
Farmer
< no role > a Prisoner lying dead in
the said Prison

John Moor< no role > a Prisoner in TothillFields
Bridewell on his Oath saith That John
Farmer
< no role > the Deced was brought Prisoner
there about three weeks ago appearing to
be in health, Says that he continued so
and was well Yesterday to all appearance
Says that he this Dept. went into the Ward
where Dept. was, last Night about Ten o'Clock
when he observed the Deced to Moar
there, That he spoke to Deced who made
no Answer That Dept. dropped asleep
and awaked some time in the Night
& heard the Deced groom, That he spoke
to him again but Deced made no Answer
Says, That he went to sleep again and
awaked about seven o'Clock, That some
of the People in the ward were talking, Dept.
desired them not to make a Noise as he
thought Deced was assleep, That on opening
the Window he saw the Deced who did
not Eye Properly on the Bed, Breathed
very Short and Dept. throught he was dying
Says that Mr. Good Child the under Turnkey
was called, and Deced was carried into
the Taproom to a Fire, where he Died in
about half an hour, Says that Mr Purdue
attempted
