Informations taken this Second
day of September 1779 at the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square within the Liberty of Westmr. in
the County of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the Death of Joseph Johnson< no role > lying
dead. in the said Parish Liberty & County.

Richard Henry< no role > Morris House Surgeon at
St. George's Hospital in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square on his Oath Saith that on
Tuesday Evening last (31. Augt.) Joseph Johanson< no role >
the deced was brought to said Hospital as an
Accident, having been Shot in the Belly
the Intertims Wounded, and some Blood
Vessal Ruptured, a great Quantity of Blood
being in the Abdomen, Says that the
Deced Yesterday Morning, in the presence
of Dept. and Several Others, called the Smith
to him, in whose hands the Pistol was when
it went off, and said that he forgave him
and that it was Accidental, Says that
the Deced died yesterday in the Hospital
and that thedeathWound which he
Reced in his Belly was the cause of his Death
