first day of August 1779 at the Parish
of St. George Hanover Square within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex
upon at Inquisition touching the Death
of John Smith< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County

Thomas Jones< no role > of George Street Grosvenor Square
Stater on his Oath Saith that he was requested
(Augt. 30th.) at Work upon the Floot of the outsideparacforeof a House
in Arlington Street in the Parish of St.George
Hanover Square belonging to the Honoble Charles
Marshan
< no role > Esqr. Says that John Smith< no role > the deced
a carpenter was likewise at Work there
and laying Boards upon the Ridge of the House
for Dpet. to Cover with State,Says that four or
five of the Bourds being loose, and fell down
Says that he heard something fall upon the
flat of the house on the outside (where Dept her was and looking
round he saw the Deced lying upon the flats
and Dept. apprehends that his fall was oceained
by the Boards giving way says that he went
to Deced and lifted time up who was not
able to move himself, but bled very much
from his mouth and Nosttils. says that
