Informations taken this Ninteenth
day of August 1779 at the Parish of St. Margaret
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of John Sidall< no role > lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

Edward Hall< no role > of View Street in the Parish of
St. John the Evangelist Westmr. Stone Sawyer
on his Oath saith That on Monday last (Augt. 16th
in the Afternoon Dept. was standng upon
Mr. Fletcher's Wharf upon Mill Bank in
the said Parish of St. John the Evangelist and
seeing the Deced John Sidall< no role > upon a Barge
belonging toand unloading it, at Mr. William
Hoare
< no role > 's Wharf Adjoining, the Barge then
Floating upon the River Thomas, Says that
the deced was standing near the side of the
Barge, and tossing some of the Fellies, with
which the Barge. was loaded upon his
Shoulder, the Deced Accidentally fell
over the side of the Barge into the said
River Thames and Sunk immediately
and Deponent did not see the Deced
afterwards alive, Says that there was
another Man at work on the other side
of the Barge but did not touch the Deced
nor was the cause of the Deced's being
Drowned.
