Informations taken this Twenty fourth
day of March 1779 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of Westmr .
in the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of John Wisdom< no role > lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty & County.

John Bitton< no role > a Laborer , at the Sign of the
Grey hound in Brick Street in the Parish of St
George Hanr. Square, on his Oath saith, That he
occasionally worked for John Wisdom< no role > the Deced
who Sold Coals, in Brick Street aforesaid
and that on Monday Night lost (March 22d.)
he went to the Deced who was in Bed. ill,
Says that the Deced got up, and in about
half an hour went into Bed again, Says
that the Deced complained much of his
Head and said that he was uneasy in
his Mind, and that heshouldhad never had
a happy day since he left the Stables in
Park Lane and believed he should or ever
have another, Says that the Deced told
Dept. to be save to come there in the
Morning, Says that he left Deced in
Bed between Ten and Eleven o Clock
and went home, Says that he went to
Deced's House the next Morning a little
after Six o'Clock (Mar. 23d.) and being
informed by Mrs. Wisdom that the Deced was
got up, desired to look for him, Says
that on looking into the Necessary House he
saw the Deced Hanging by a Cord fastened to
the Rafter, but Dept. was frightened, & went
to acquaint Mrs. Wisdom, and some of the
