Informations taken this Twenty
second day of January 1779 at the
Parish of St. Margaret (Vizt. at Knightsbridge )
within the Liberty of Westmr . in the County
of Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of William Taylor< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty & County.

Thomas Minton< no role > a Victualler at the Sign of
the two Brewes in Knightsbridge on his
Oath saith That William Taylor< no role > the Deced on
Sunday Night last (Jany. 17th.) came to Depts.
House, and drank one Pint of Porter, Says
that the Deced staid there about an hour
or rather more and went away, towards
home as Dept. thought a little before Ten o'Clock
not appearing to be in Liquor Says that he
wisted Deced a Good Night, and Dept. did
not see him afterwards until about half
hour after Eleven o'Clock that Night when
Mary Baker< no role > the Deced's Daughter came
to his House saying that her Father was
lying dead in the Ditch, Says that his Servt.
Giles Forty first went out, and Dept. soon
followed and saw the Deced lying in a Ditch
by the side of the Green at Knightsbridge
in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr. Says
that he lifted up the Deced who appeared
to be dead Says that Mr. Jackson a Surgeon
was fetched immediately who said that the
Deced was dead, and Deponent believes
that the Deced reced no Injury, but did
in a Natural Way, and by the Inclemency
of the Weather.
